This restaurant has two sides which both serve the same food and drinks. The Dusters side is huuge. In there The decor is outdated. It feels like a country club from the 80s (including upholstered high backed chairs in the back room) which is kind of fun in a way, but can feel awkward depending on your mood.

The Gottberg side has a small bar and a good vibe. They've factored in some of the building's automotive industry history into the decor in this room. It is Dark, feels clean, is not too loud, and has nice ambient lighting. You seat yourself on the Gottberg side which is nice.

The servers have been friendly / helpful in my experience.

The beers are brewed in house. I like the Platte river pale ale. It is not as strong / hoppy as you might expect from a small brewery pale ale. The beers goes well with the food overall. They even have an "All american lager" which seems to be their take on Budweiser style beers, something you don't often see from microbreweries and which I can appreciate!

    The good:

The caesar salad / chicken caesar salad is good. The appetizers are good (notably the spinach artichoke dip). The French onion soup is recommended (it is good!).

The Lavosh is good! Last time we went, I ordered the Sausage Grinder Lavosh whichi may venture to say is the best thin crust pizza I've had in town.

    The OK:

The steaks I have ordered before have been cooked to the appropriate doneness (usually rare or medium rare for me), but they did not have enough salt/pepper or a great char/crust. You can add a "brandied" onion or mushroom (or both) sauce to their steaks for extra. These sauces need more acidity and more interesting spices.

    The bad:

I ordered the chicken Tuscany a few months ago. It was 18 dollars and disappointing. I think they steam the chicken and then finish cooking it on the grill or in the oven for some dishes (though I'm not sure), but that the meat is never properly season along the way and they only rely on the sauce later on for flavor. The chicken tuscany sauce was thick like a gravy, bland, slightly sweet. The dish had an orange slice on the side which helped to add some much needed acidity but it wasn't enough to make the dish good.

The chicken and vegetables of some of the entrees do not seem to be prepared to order. You order from the menu and then the kitchen puts the dish together using trays of whatever meat and vats of sauces depending on what the dish calls for.

Note: I'm not sure if all of my speculations above are correct, but these are what I've taken away after giving the place many tries.

The sauces (which are part of many dishes) seem to be high in water / thickener (maybe corn starch). Some of the sauces I've had there seem to be slightly sweet without enough salt/acidity/spices/butter.

The rolls they give with most of the entrees are big, room temperature, too dense, and have some herbs in the dough which taste strange. They are not good. I don't know why they even include these with the meals.

The vegetable mix usually served is mostly a mix of brocoli, carrots, yellow carrots, which is steamed and unseasoned.

The portions end up being too big for most of the entrees. I wish they would reduce their portions in general and increase focus on cooking techniques and quality spices/ingredients instead. If they did this I would be fine with the price.

Update: We've been back a few times lately.. after letting some of the past experiences soak in, and we've have a few consistently good experiences. Overall , i'd recommended steering away from some of the more expensive (and ambitious sounding on the menu) entrees and sticking with some of the simpler dishes that do not sound so complicated. I've usually been most disappointed here when I order a 18-20 dollar dish to ultimately find that it is uninspiredly cooked and there is not enough flavor.

I went for for the craft beer. Had a salad and an American Lager. Both were good, would return again. The seating at the bar is not very comfortable, stools made me feel like I was being violated lol. Only one TV though, mellow atmosphere.
